Dr. Clark was one of the first Dentists in the State of Oregon to be trained in the FDA approved Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP), a breakthrough technology for the rescue of damaged and failing teeth due to gum infections.
In 2002, Dr. Clark began his Laser Training which included classroom instruction in the science of lasers, application of gentle laser power to remove diseased gum tissue and start a healing process which results in healing of gum pockets and regrowth of the destroyed supporting bone around your teeth, and hands-on mentored treatment of actual patients.
Having completed the series of 7 training sessions, Dr. Clark has achieved the status of Fellow in the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry.
He began offering Laser Gum Therapy to his patients in September of 2002. Our Laser treatments have been FDA approved, having been scientifically proven to be effective. The technical name for our Laser Treatment is Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP).
Laser Therapy (LANAP) means no cutting, no sewing, less pain, less bleeding, less tissue removed, and less recovery time! Using the Laser, Dr. Clark is able to gently remove the diseased gum tissue without removing healthy tissue. This helps to improve the healthy appearance of the tissue around teeth, minimizes pain and discomfort. The sealed periodontal pocket is able to heal quickly. Shallower gum pockets, firm gums and healing bone make it possible to save and restore otherwise hopelessly diseased teeth. Dr. Clark is very pleased with the results he has seen in his patients who have completed Laser Therapy. Dr. Clark has noted significantly decreased pocket depths and even bone regrowth--which was once believed to be impossible!
Better oral health can help keep you healthier from head to toe!
